Flags
The Haldimand County community flagpole is located in front of the Administration Building in Cayuga. Local charities and non-profit groups can submit a request to have their flag raised on the community flagpole.

Submitting a community flag request
- Charitable and non-profit groups must submit their request at least four weeks in advance, along with a brief description of the nature of the flag-raising
- Requests will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis
- Requesting organizations must have a presence in Haldimand County
- Flags must be supplied by the community group and must be of the appropriate size
- Flags will be flown for one week, with the possibility of a longer timeframe where no other requests are waiting
Requests will not be approved for:
- Political parties or organizations
- Religious organizations or religious events/celebrations
- Organizations that promote hatred, violence, racism or discrimination
- Commercial entities
- Organizations that have already flown a community flag within the same calendar year
- Events or organizations that have no direct connection with Haldimand County
Flag currently being flown
The flag currently being flown is to recognize National Access-Ability Week. It is an opportunity to celebrate the valuable contributions of Canadians with disabilities. It is also a time to recognize the efforts of individuals, communities and workplaces that are actively working to remove barriers to accessibility and inclusion.
